Somewhat mixed crowd. Being right next to Google’s headquarters in the West Loop makes the crowd on the younger side. Excellent views and service. Drinks are top notch. They infuse their own melon liquor which is amazing if you like melon liquor. The furnishing are far from anything you would expect to find at a rooftop. Dimly lit with simpler furnishings giving it a more hipster feel. They do have a DJ setup similar to Cerise. Drinks and food are reasonably priced. I would say the best part of the Waydown is the outside. It has an excellent view with it’s own bar and seating. Overall I think the Waydown is catering to a younger, more casual, business crowd with a very laid back atmosphere.
