Baconfest Chicago 2018
Baconfest is a fun-filled, walk-around tasting event featuring the most creative bacon dishes from the best chefs in Chicago.
On the festival floor, the hottest chefs from the finest local restaurants prepare and serve small plates starring bacon. The best mixologists and brewers quench thirst with refreshing bacon-based and bacon-inspired cocktails and brews. Luxury brands, artisan bacon-makers, and bacontrepreneurs display, sample, and sell a multitude of local craft bacons and bacon-related products. Guests grab a Baconfest: Guide to Bacon playbill and walk around in a bacon-lover’s Nirvana. To celebrate special achievement in the bacon arts, we give out Golden Rasher Awards (the Oscars of the bacon world) to pro and amateur chefs as well as the winners of our Bacon arts poetry, video, song, and other contests. Best of all, Baconfest is good for America. We donate a portion of proceeds from ticket sales, host raffles and organize sponsor matching donations to local food charities. Since 2009, Baconfest has raised over $400,000 enabling partners like the Greater Chicago Food depository to distribute more than 1.2 million meals to hungry people in the area. Although we are not a 501 c3 non-profit, our charitable giving is central to our event and to our identity.
Ticket prices include unlimited creative bacon dishes from approximately 50 chefs and samples from all of our exhibitors at the shift selected. All ticket types (except Bacon-Only) include seven (7) drink tickets redeemable for paired beer, wine and cocktails from our partners. Also included: a Baconfest Tote Bag and souvenir program.
Each ticket gives the holder access to Baconfest Chicago during the selected session. VIP ticket holders get access to the VIP Hour for the session selected – one hour of no-line, no-crowd, bacon pleasure – as well as the General Admission period for the shift selected.
NEW FOR 2018 – VIP ticket-holders also get exclusive access to the Old Forester Speakeasy, our brand new VIP lounge just steps away from the main hall. Enjoy comfortable seating, VIP cocktails, and rare bourbon samples from Old Forester’s Whiskey Row Series. The Old Forester Speakeasy is open to VIP ticket holders only throughout the event.
