This Saturday, commemorate over a century of Art Institute history. Start the festivities at 10 a.m. by recreating the museum’s 1893 opening day photo on the Michigan Avenue steps. Following the photo, head inside for special gallery talks highlighting remarkable moments in the museum’s history.
Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this special morning, surrounded by the Art Institute of Chicago community. The photo will be added to museum archives, preserving this moment for another 125 years and beyond.
Tours are included with museum admission, and remember – admission is always free for kids under 14 and Chicago teens under 18.
