New from Machine Hospitality, the group behind Headquarters Beercade in River North, comes Machine. Located on Division in Wicker Park, co-owner Brian Galati and Chireal Jordan have hired a beverage director, Aneka Saxon, who worked at Wicker Park’s acclaimed Violet Hour cocktail lounge. Machine is dimly lit, posh spot and has perfect ambiance. Machine offers a truly unique drink menu that includes offerings like the Caged & Infused and the Caged Old Fashioned. Served with a small hammer, enclosed in different flavored candy cages and meant to be broke open. Other drinks include the Breaking Brulee that comes with a breakable bruleed crust and the Drunken Vegetarian that is served with a parmesan crisp. The food menu includes dishes like Walleye, carrot tartare, Scottish Salmon and a burger topped with foie gras and maitake mushrooms. Machine serves dinner, late bites and lunch/brunch daily.

Machine even has it’s own florist. Machine offers a flower cart that can be wheeled to a table upon request. The flower cart will allow diners to create an arrangement that stays on their table as they eat and then it can be brought home with them. Bouquets can also be made ahead of time to surprise dinner guests when they are seated. Overall Machine is a great spot with perfect ambiance, drinks, food and even flowers if needed. I will definitely be back.
