The eclectic Pilsen community will be on full display when the PilsenFood Truck Social rolls ont o 18th street, June 9th and 10th . Situated in the heart of one of Chicago’s most historic, yet newest, destination neighborhoods, the annual festival of food, art
and music has grown with each passing year. Now in its 4th season, the Pilsen Food Truck Social 2018 edition aims to be an even bigger reflection of the vibrant local culture.
This year, over 25 food trucks and local restaurants will dish out mobile delicacies, live music programmed by the legendary Thalia Hall will play continuously on stage, and dozens of local artisans, retailers, and non-profits will participate as vendors and exhibitors.
In addition to a curated selection of food trucks, a number of Pilsen-based restaurants and vendors will also participate in the event.
A $20 Sampler Ticket allows fest-goers to stroll around and try six (6) sample-sized portions from any participating food truck or restaurant onsite (all food will be available for regular individual cash purchase too). Sponsored by Tecate, Pilsen Food
Truck Social 2018 will also feature a great variety of cold drinks for purchase, including Tecate, Tecate Light, Heineken, Dos Equis lager, Strongbow Cider, Punch House Margarita Punch,Prairie Organic Vodka & Lemonade (Prairie will also be providing FREE samples on-site for 21+ / one per consumer), delicious fruity sangria, and Boxed Water.
As its eponymous name suggests, food is the centerpiece at this neighborhood street fest, but the attractions don’t end there. Non-stop music on the main stage will blend fun with cutting-edge, while the iconic local record store, 606 Records, keeps the cool beats spinning between sets.
Culture thrives in Pilsen and the rest of Chicago is invited to discover it at Pilsen Food Truck Social. The family-friendly fest includes lots of kids-centric games and cultural entertainment. Attendees can also spend the day – before, during or after the fest – exploring the diverse collection of shops, bodegas, panaderias and ethnic restaurants dotted throughout the historic neighborhood.
