Chicago Old Town Art Fair 2019
Along the streets of the Old Town Triangle Historic District, you’ll find an inspiring collection of 2D and 3D Fine Art including Mixed Media, Drawings, Paintings, Photography, Printmaking, Ceramics, Glass, Fiber, Jewelry and works in Metal, Stone and Wood. The Old Town Art Fair features Fine Art – exclusively – and allows only original pieces created by the artists themselves. Reproductions and crafts, among other things, are not permitted.
Artists from across the U.S. and Canada are selected by an independent jury of art professionals. Nearly half of the artists are newly juried in each year, providing an opportunity for different artists to exhibit at this highly sought after event. This system allows for a rich mix of returning favorites and fresh, new art to discover!
There will be 250 nationally acclaimed artists, an estimated 30,000 art lovers, a Garden Walk, Live Music, Food Court and Children’s Corner. Gates open Saturday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, rain or shine.
Take a peek into the quaint green spaces that make the Old Town Triangle on Chicago’s north side a truly charming and delightful neighborhood. Over 50 gardens will be in bloom and on display, many of them private and viewable only during the Art Fair. Descriptions of the gardens are displayed throughout the Garden Walk. You’ll also discover historical information, fun facts and anecdotes about the homes, architecture, and past and present residents. Who knows, you may even spot a proud gardener in their natural habitat.
Your $10 donation to the Old Town Art Fair includes access to the Garden Walk and a map of the self-guided tour – available at any of the six entry gates to the Fair!
